THE TCSLEA continues to grow. In our ten year existence we have established ourselves as one of the leading Public Safety Associations in the State of Texas. Strong leadership and a dedicated membership have helped us do that. Ten years ago  the Sheriffs Office sworn employees were all part of one association, Law enforcement and Corrections alike. Due to some differences that could not be reconciled at that time we split.

The TCSLEA is happy to welcome our brother correction officers back into the fold. In November 2011 the TCSLEA Membership voted to change the By-Laws and allow Corrections back in as full members. This was accomplished with a merger with the TCUSOA. LE retains leadership of the Association but Corrections has a full and equal say in the future.  The 2011 Christmas Party was a combined party including the LE, Corrections and Associate members. It was a great success and a sign of the future of our great Association.

The Travis County Sheriffs' Law Enforcement Association joined the Fraternal Order of Police in June of 2002. We are proud to represent the FOP as Texas Lodge 912. We chose this lodge number in memory of our beloved brother Keith Ruiz #912, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
